Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

This morning, just 6-percent of the 228 ETFs I track are showing a positive gain. Biotechnology oriented exchange traded funds are dominating today’s list of best performing ETFs. Excel is linked to CQG for the data.

The Ten-Year T-Notes are Testing Support

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

The current price action is retesting the support zone on the daily chart. The daily RSI readings are still indicating a trading range with a bullish bias.

The Constant Volume Chart is set to 25,000 contracts with the CQG SnapTrader and the RSI set to 14-bars. The current extreme readings by the RSI are below 38, […]

The CQG Analog Chart, which is a chart display that plots multiple markets, has crude oil (blue bars), gasoline (light green close only line), and heating oil (white close only line) plotted. In addition, I have the RSI study plotted for each market using the same colors as the prices.

The RSI readings for the gasoline […]

The EURO FX Futures Holding Steady

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

Buyers came in yesterday after the false break of support. Today, the Euro FX futures (EUR/USD pair) are holding above the support zone. I have plotted a new uptrend channel.

The trend is still up because the recent extreme daily RSI readings have peaked above 62.

The Constant Volume Bar chart is set to 1,000 contracts with […]

Gold Resting at Resistance Zone

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

Yesterday, gold edged into the nearby resistance zone, and sellers checked the rally. Today, the market is testing the same area. We’ll have to watch the action on the Constant Volume Chart (CVB) for an indication as to whether the market will break out to the upside. Friday’s down close led to the RSI forming […]

This morning traders turned sellers on news that February new home sales fell 3.9 percent. The NYSE volume ratio is running at 20 percent up-volume, which indicates heavy selling.

The late-morning RSI readings from the CQG Custom QuoteBoard using 15-minute bars for the equity index derivative products are indicating weak momentum. The RSI readings for the […]

Buyers Step in for the Ten-Year T-Notes

Monday, March 26th, 2007

Today’s weaker than expected New Home Sales data has brought out buyers for fixed income product. Yesterday, the ten-year T-note closed down and the daily RSI closed below 50. This is still trading range behavior with a bullish bias.

The Constant Volume Chart (set to 25,000 contracts) with the CQG SnapTrader and the RSI set to […]

The EURO FX Futures Pull Back

Monday, March 26th, 2007

The Euro FX futures (EUR/USD pair) have traded below the lower side of the support zone, but buyers then came in. This is called a spring. Traders have brought out the sellers, but they could not gain control. This is a bullish sign.

The trend is still up because the recent extreme daily RSI readings have […]
